What to expect during your first ART session

First-time clients often arrive curious and a little nervous. Here's exactly what happens.

Before the session

We'll review your intake paperwork. You'll share what's bringing you in at whatever level of detail feels right. You don't need to prepare anything specific or you don't need to share every detail. that;s the beauty of ART- I do not need any information about what you are reprocessing and it still works beautifully.

During the session

I will guide you through a structured protocol to help you reprocess a memory. You'll bring a specific memory, image, or feeling to mind while following my hand, guiding your eyes back and forth. The discomfort level typically peaks early (in the first 5-8 minutes), and reduces significantly for the rest of the session. Most clients feel lighter and relieved before they leave. My sessions are typically 2 hours, but some people choose to schedule a full day intensive; if that works best for you, you may have multiple ART sessions in a day with breaks in between.

After the session

Some people feel tired. Most feel relieved. Occasionally there's some emotional processing in the day or two following. This is normal and usually brief. You'll have support and a clear plan for what comes next.
