Frequently Asked Questions
Intensive therapy is ideal if you:
• Are committed to deeper work that creates real, lasting change
• Carry the weight of difficult past experiences that still affect you today
• Feel stuck in your grief journey after experiencing loss
• Have benefited from ART or hypnosis and want to continue this type of healing
• Are currently in regular therapy and either feel stuck in your progress or sense you're on the edge of an important breakthrough
• Prefer focused, time-efficient healing over traditional weekly sessions
• Are traveling from out of the area and want to maximize your time
Absolutely! Many of my clients work with a regular therapist and come to me for intensive work to break through specific blocks or address particular traumas. With your permission, I'm happy to coordinate with your therapist.
After you schedule, you'll receive a personalized workbook and have a pre-intensive consultation where we'll discuss preparation. The most important preparation is giving yourself permission to focus entirely on your healing during our time together.
Some clients find that one intensive creates the breakthrough they need. Others return for additional intensives to address different concerns. We'll discuss what makes sense for you during our post-intensive session.
Due to the extended time commitment required for therapy intensives, a stringent cancellation policy is in place. In the event that you miss or cancel with less than 72 business hours before your intensive appointment, your deposit will not be returned and will either be applied toward the no show fee, or can be used for one rescheduling opportunity.
I do not accept insurance for intensive sessions. These concentrated, specialized services fall outside the traditional weekly therapy model that insurance typically covers. However, I can provide you with a detailed receipt (superbill) that you may submit to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Additionally, intensive sessions qualify as eligible expenses for HSA (Health Savings Account) and FSA (Flexible Spending Account) cards.
