Accelerated Resolution Therapy® (ART®) is an evidence-based trauma therapy developed by Laney Rosenzweig, LMFT that uses guided eye movements and specific techniques to help the brain reprocess distressing memories. Unlike traditional talk therapy, ART doesn't require you to describe your experiences in detail or relive what happened. Instead, it works by changing the way difficult memories are stored in the brain, reducing their emotional intensity so they no longer trigger the same stress response. Both use eye movements, but the experience is quite different. ART is generally faster, more structured, and includes Voluntary Image Replacement- allowing you to actively change the imagery connected to a painful memory. A therapy intensive is an extended, focused session, typically a half day or full day — designed to create deeper progress than a standard 50-minute appointment allows. At Daytona Accelerated Therapy, intensives begin with a pre-session consultation and a personalized workbook so we arrive prepared. The session itself combines ART®, hypnotherapy, grounding techniques, and reflection time in a structured, supportive flow. Afterward, there's a post-intensive integration session to help you process what shifted and plan next steps. The format is especially well-suited to people with busy schedules, those who have felt stuck in weekly therapy, or anyone traveling to Daytona Beach specifically for intensive work.
